Top MLB Resources:

6:40 PM Eastern

Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Miami Marlins

Through three starts this season, Diamondbacks starting pitcher Merrill Kelly has allowed 13 runs, 12 of which were earned in 15 innings with a 6.67 fielding independent and 4.2 strikeouts and 5.6 walks per nine innings. Marlins starting pitcher Connor Gillispie has been a pretty league-average pitcher thus far with a 3.86 ERA and 4.22 fielding independent through three starts and is backed by a lineup that entered Monday averaging 5.1 runs per game at home.

Pick: Marlins +145 (Greg’s Handicap Marlins +127)

Washington Nationals vs. Pittsburgh Pirates

Pirates starting pitcher Mitch Keller has been far better at home than on the road throughout his career, registering a 5.14 ERA with 1.3 home runs per nine innings away from home compared to a 4.06 ERA with 0.8 home runs per nine innings at home and faces a Nationals lineup that is without one of their career contributors in the lineup, CJ Abrams. Nationals starting pitcher Jake Irvin has a 4.51 ERA and 4.52 fielding independent with 1.5 home runs per nine innings since the start of the 2024 season,

Pick: Washington Nationals vs. Pittsburgh Pirates Under 8.5 Runs (Greg’s Handicapped Total 7.7)

Seattle Mariners vs. Cincinnati Reds

The Mariners and Reds have similar offenses, with Seattle averaging 3.8 runs per game and the Reds 3.9 runs per game. Reds starting pitcher Nick Lodolo has allowed only three runs, two of which were earned and one walk across his first three starts this season, accruing 18 2/3 innings while Mariners starting pitcher Luis Castillo has a 2.12 ERA this season across three starts, but a 4.00 fielding independent with only 7.9 strikeouts and 3.2 walks per nine innings.

Pick: Reds Moneyline +105 (Greg’s Handicap Reds-134)

6:45 PM Eastern

San Francisco Giants vs Philadelphia Phillies

San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Justin Verlander is not the pitcher he once was, posting a 6.92 ERA through three starts this season. Despite getting 11.4 strikeouts per nine innings, he’s allowing 1.4 home runs and 4.2 walks per nine innings. Jesus Luzardo is off to a great start in his Phillies career, allowing three runs through 18 innings with 25 strikeouts after posting a 5.00 ERA with the Miami Marlins last season, and is facing a Giants lineup that entered Monday averaging over 5.3 runs per game away from home, which is the third-most in the league.

Picks: Phillies Run Line -1.5 +145 and Over 8 Runs (Greg’s Handicap Phillies Run Line +113 and Total 8.6)

7:07 PM Eastern

Atlanta Braves vs. Toronto Blue Jays

While Spencer Schwellenbach has been beyond solid for the Braves with one run allowed across three starts and 20 innings, the offense behind him has been lackluster with less than 3.3 runs per game overall this season entering Monday and 2.5 runs per game away from home. They face Blue Jays starting pitcher Kevin Gausman, who’s allowed five earned runs through three starts this season with only 0.9 home runs and 1.4 walks per nine innings allowed.

Pick: Blue Jays Moneyline +115 (Greg’s Handicap Blue Jays -126)

7:40 PM Eastern

Athletics vs. Chicago White Sox

The White Sox lineup is last in the league in runs per game dating back to the start of the 2023 season, averaging just over 3.3 runs per game this season, but have gotten great production from starting pitching Sean Burke, who in his seven appearances at the big league level the past two seasons has a 3.34 ERA. Athletics starting pitcher Jeffrey Springs missed much of the past two seasons due to injury, but with his 4.20 ERA thus far in 2025, he has continued to show good swing and miss stuff with 9.6 strikeouts per nine innings.

Picks: Athletics Run Line -1.5 +110 and Under 8.5 Runs (Greg’s Handicap Athletics Run Line -1.5 -106 and Total 7.7)
