🏈⚾🏀🏒 Nobody’s Perfect
There’s a reason you probably shouldn’t bet on four professional sports in one night.
It’s hard.
Of the 4,154 cards submitted in our Sports Equinox Challenge, not one went 8-for-8.
I didn’t expect that. Heck, we had 57 perfect 7-0 entries in the EdgeBoost Average Joe Contest this week.
We did have 15 contestants get seven of eight picks right. Chuck Russo (USAF1970) of Methuen, Mass., won the tiebreaker with his prediction of 306 combined points and runs. The actual total was 325 across Brewers–Rays, Cowboys–Eagles, Warriors–Nuggets and Red Wings–Oilers.
Chuck wins a VIP stay at Circa Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.

⚾ The Sports Equinox Came Just in Time
Because the baseball season could end tonight.
The Brewers hammered the Rays 10-1 Monday night to take a 3-0 World Series lead. Game 4 is tonight.
Adam Burke wasn’t particularly encouraged by what he saw from Tampa Bay.
“The Brewers had nine hits with a runner in scoring position. The Rays had three hits total. I’m really not sure how TB comes back from that blowout.”
Adam also wonders whether a Yandy Díaz bat flip with the Rays trailing by 10 might provide a little extra motivation for Milwaukee.
Can the Rays find a way to extend the series?
Adam’s Game 4 analysis and Best Bet will be posted later this morning.

🏈 Tuesday Night Football: Two Games, One Stronger Opinion
College football returns Tuesday with two Conference USA matchups — and Adam Burke has a stronger opinion on one of them.
Delaware visits Western Kentucky at 7 p.m. ET (CBS Sports Network), followed by Sam Houston State at Missouri State at 8 p.m. ET (ESPN2).
Delaware just scored 61 points with quarterback Nick Minicucci back in the lineup. But Western Kentucky has won two straight, and its defense has improved considerably in conference play.
Does Delaware’s offensive resurgence outweigh Western Kentucky’s defensive edge and extra rest? Adam breaks down both games and identifies his preferred wager.

🏈 Cowboys Roll, Favorites Finish Week 7 on Top
The Cowboys (-4) routed the injury-depleted Eagles 38-21 Monday night to wrap up Week 7.
According to Dave Tuley’s ATS Report, favorites finished the week 10-4 straight up and 8-6 ATS, while Overs went 8-6.
For the season, favorites are 65-39-1 straight up, with two pick’ems. But underdogs still hold the ATS edge at 54-45-6 (54.5%). Overs have a slim 55-50-2 lead (52.4%).

🏆 Contest Corner: Is a Grandissimo Chop Coming?
Could the $7.7 million Circa Grandissimo be headed for a chop?
Rumor has it that a deal is in the works among the three remaining entries.
A chop wouldn’t necessarily end the contest. The remaining contestants could agree to split a portion of the $7.7 million prize pool and continue playing for the rest.
💸 Circa Survivor: 660 Remain
We head into Week 8 with 660 entries still alive in the $25 million Circa Survivor contest after 47 advanced on the Cowboys’ Monday night victory.
Meanwhile, the Survivor Sweat marketplace remains active. There were 70 Survivor entries listed for sale when I checked late Monday.

🎯 Average Joe: 57 Perfect Cards
Apparently, picking seven football games was easier than picking eight games across four sports.
Jeff Goegen (GoldenBuff) of Golden, Colo., went 7-0 with 137 Action Points to finish atop the Week 7 EdgeBoost Average Joe leaderboard.
He had plenty of company in the undefeated club: 57 entries finished a perfect 7-0.
💵 I Hope Jeff Signed Up for EdgeBoost
EdgeBoost is offering its customers a $1,000 bonus with a deposit of at least $100 if they finish first in the weekly Average Joe standings.
