New York Yankees vs. Baltimore Orioles

Pitcher Kyle Gibson makes his first start of the season for the Orioles after posting a 4.24 ERA and 4.42 fielding independent pitching (FIP) for the St. Louis Cardinals last season. He made three minor league rehab appearances to get ready for this start. Yankees starting pitcher Carlos Rodón looks to build off his past two starts, where he didn’t allow a run in 13 innings after three straight starts in which he surrendered at least four runs each time.

St. Louis Cardinals vs. Cincinnati Reds

The Cardinals are 0-5 in Miles Mikolas’ starts this season. Mikolas has a 5.70 ERA with just 4.9 strikeouts and 3.4 walks per nine innings, backed by a bullpen that ranks 25th in ERA at 4.80. Reds starting pitcher Brady Singer has a 3.62 ERA but an even better 3.12 FIP and has allowed three earned runs or fewer in each of his five starts this season.

Washington Nationals vs. Philadelphia Phillies

Nationals pitcher MacKenzie Gore has pitched better than his 3.34 ERA would suggest, posting a 1.99 FIP with 0.8 home runs and 13.6 strikeouts per nine innings. Phillies starting pitcher Zack Wheeler is racking up 12.1 strikeouts per nine innings and owns a 3.18 FIP compared to his 3.62 ERA.

Kansas City Royals vs. Tampa Bay Rays

Royals starting pitcher Michael Lorenzen has been a pretty average pitcher this season, posting a 3.90 ERA and 3.92 FIP while allowing just one home run per nine innings. However, he’s backed up by a Royals lineup that ranks 29th in the league with just 3.1 runs per game. Rays starter Taj Bradley owns a 5.08 ERA but is generating 10.3 strikeouts per nine innings for his career, with a 4.36 FIP this season while allowing 1.3 home runs per nine innings.

Arizona Diamondbacks vs. New York Mets

Diamondbacks starting pitcher Eduardo Rodríguez has been quite unlucky so far in 2025, registering a 4.40 ERA but owning a 2.97 FIP with 10.7 strikeouts and just 0.9 home runs allowed per nine innings. He faces a Mets lineup averaging 4.2 runs per game, ranking 20th in the league. Mets starting pitcher David Peterson has a 3.29 ERA with 9.6 strikeouts and 0.7 home runs allowed per nine innings.

Detroit Tigers vs. Houston Astros

Astros starter Ryan Gusto is making his fourth start after beginning the season in the bullpen, posting a 3.68 ERA as a starter after a 1.13 ERA as a long reliever.

San Francisco Giants vs. San Diego Padres

Padres starting pitcher Nick Pivetta is having a career year so far, posting a 1.20 ERA and a 2.18 FIP while allowing a career-low 2.1 walks per nine innings. He’s backed by the league’s top bullpen in ERA at 1.61. Giants starting pitcher Logan Webb has historically struggled on the road, posting a career 2.69 ERA at home compared to a 4.03 ERA away.
