NBA Best Bets Today – March 11th

Milwaukee Bucks at Indiana Pacers – 7:30 pm ET

I’m grabbing some plus-money odds with the Pacers tonight. I know this is a back-to-back for Indiana, but the Pacers actually got blown out by the Bulls last night. That’s obviously not the greatest sign in the world, but Andrew Nembhard, Bennedict Mathurin, Myles Turner, Aaron Nesmith and Pascal Siakam all played 24 minutes or fewer. So, they really should be just fine physically after that game. Also, I have a feeling we’ll see Tyrese Haliburton tonight, as teams generally sit banged-up players for one of the two games in these back-to-backs. And it definitely makes sense that Indiana tried to get away with sitting him against Chicago, as Milwaukee is the tougher matchup. Well, if Haliburton is out there tonight, how can you not like the Pacers?

It’s just hard to ignore that if you throw out a poor start to the season, Indiana has been better than Milwaukee on both ends of the floor. The Pacers have also had a lot of success against this Bucks team in recent seasons, as they’re 6-4 straight-up against them in their last 10 meetings.

This is also a third game in four nights for Milwaukee, so it’s not like the Bucks have the biggest rest advantage in the world. Also, since the start of the 2023-24 season, Indiana is 9-7 SU as a home underdog of 6 or fewer points. The Pacers are also 10-1 SU when coming off a loss in which they were favored in that span. On top of that, they’re 11-5 SU against teams with winning percentages between 51% and 60% since then. Indiana usually shows up against teams on its level.

Bet: Pacers ML (+118 – 1.5 units)

NBA Player Props Today – March 11th

Washington Wizards at Detroit Pistons – 7:00 pm ET

Richaun Holmes didn’t play in Washington’s meeting with Toronto last night, but I like him to go Over 14.5 combined points and rebounds if he plays tonight. Since the start of March, Holmes is averaging 10.7 points and 9.3 rebounds per game. He also averaged 9.8 points and 6.9 rebounds per game in February. The Wizards just like the energy that Holmes is bringing right now, as he battles hard on the boards, giving the team a bunch of second chances. He has also found his touch around the rim, as he’s shooting a ridiculous 67.0% from the floor this year. That’s even higher than what he shot in his breakout season in Sacramento in 2020-21, and that stint with the Kings ultimately made him a high-paid player. Considering all of that, let’s fire up Holmes to go Over 14.5 points and rebounds tonight. If he ends up sitting, this will be voided. No harm there.

Bet: Holmes Over 14.5 Points + Rebounds (-114)

Brooklyn Nets at Cleveland Cavaliers – 7:00 pm ET

Isaac Okoro has made at least one 3 in seven of the last eight games. Of course, the 24-year-old doesn’t usually see big minutes, making it somewhat difficult to put faith in him to do much of anything. However, Cleveland is favored by 17 points in some shops tonight, so this game is expected to be a blowout. Well, if the Cavaliers do win this game convincingly, there’s a good chance Okoro plays at least 20 minutes. In a 40-point win over the Magic on February 25th and a 22-point win over the Bulls on March 4th, Kenny Atkinson played him an average of 22.0 minutes per game. That said, there could be some more minutes for Okoro to jack up 3s tonight. With that in mind, I’m playing Okoro to have at least one triple tonight. The 3-point shot makes up most of the wing’s shot diet, so he’s going to get a few up when he’s out there. Let’s just hope he can bury one. He has actually made three 3s in his last two meetings with the Nets.

Bet: Okoro Over 0.5 Made 3s (-135)

Additional Plays

This is where I’ll include any late added plays, teasers/parlays or in-season futures. Come back before tip if you don’t want to miss anything. It’s always possible I’ll add something to my card.
