Seattle Seahawks at Atlanta Falcons (-3; 51)

Sunday, 1:00 p.m. ET (FOX)

It took 11 days for Seattle to go from 3-0 to 3-3. Now the Seahawks get much-needed extra rest off Thursday Night Football. They also get a bit healthier, although CB Tariq Woolen will be out on Sunday. However, DT Byron Murphy looks set to return, and the Seattle defensive line looks in better shape. Plus, they recently acquired Roy Robertson-Harris from Jacksonville.

Seattle has also been struggling on the offensive line of late. However, the Falcons rank 27th in pass-rush win rate, and Geno Smith should have a cleaner pocket than he has in recent weeks.

Atlanta also struggles against the run (27th in early down rush success rate), so Kenneth Walker III should have a big game here.

The Falcons have been a bit fortunate early on in the season, going 3-1 in one-score games. This looks to be a good spot to sell Atlanta against a rested yet desperate Seattle team.

NFL Week 7 Best Bet: Seattle Seahawks +3

Kansas City Chiefs at San Francisco 49ers (-1.5; 47)

The Chiefs are rolling at 5-0 and off a bye week where Andy Reid is 21-4 in his career and the 49ers are just .500, and Kansas City is an underdog?

This is a prime example of not always treating trends as your friends and keeping them as just acquaintances.

Kansas City has been a bit lucky so far this season. If Isaiah Likely’s shoe size was an inch smaller, Baltimore would have won in Week 1. They also got a gift pass interference call on the final drive in Week 2 to beat Cincinnati. Then, they got a stop in the red zone in the final minute to hold off Atlanta. Next, they played the LA Chargers with a hobbled Justin Herbert and both of his offensive tackles out. Finally, they beat a New Orleans team now on a five-game losing streak.

Granted, the Chiefs have also had to do without Rashee Rice, Hollywood Brown, and Isiah Pacheco, so they deserve credit. However, this game is where they will be missed the most as the 49ers are third in Pass Defense DVOA, and Charvarius Ward is back in the Niners’ secondary this week.

Although the 49ers are just 3-3, it is not on Brock Purdy, as he is PFF‘s # 1 graded overall QB this season.

The 49ers get a small modicum of revenge this week on Kansas City.
