⚽ Riding The Hot Hands
Tuesday was a good day to be following Nigel Seeley and Alex Blowers.

Nigel cashed on France -1.75 on the Asian Handicap (-110) as Les Bleus rolled past Sweden 3-0.

Alex needed Erling Haaland’s goal in the 86th minute to cash his Anytime Goalscorer bet, and his +102 same-game parlay also got there as Norway beat Ivory Coast 2-1.

Mexico completed the day’s Round of 32 action with a 2-0 victory over Ecuador.

Let’s see what they have for us today with Team USA in action.

Today’s World Cup menu (Circa odds to advance):

Noon ET
England (-650) vs. DR Congo (+650)

4 p.m. ET
Belgium (-170) vs. Senegal (+150)

8 p.m. ET
USA (-600) vs. Bosnia and Herzegovina (+455)

Nigel Seeley rarely bets on England in major tournaments. He’s making an exception today.

“While some of the criticism has been justified, I think a lot of it has been over the top. Defensively, they have been excellent, conceding just 1.53 expected goals across three matches.”

Alex Blowers had the tougher assignment with Team USA laying -600.

“With the USA favored and the overwhelming public support and money backing them, it’s difficult to find value here.”

Fortunately, Alex found some.

Former U.S. World Cup star Eric Wynalda expects the Americans to look much more like they did against Paraguay—and isn’t shy about making a prediction.

🏀 LeBron Moves The Market
Day 1 of NBA free agency delivered plenty of news—and plenty for bettors to digest.

LeBron James reportedly told the Lakers they can make plans without him. DraftKings immediately installed Golden State (-275) as the favorite to land James, followed by Cleveland (+150) and Miami (+1000).

The other blockbuster: Kawhi Leonard is headed back to Toronto after a trade with the Clippers.

VSiN senior editor Zach Cohen breaks down the biggest moves and what they mean for the NBA futures market.

⛳ Wes’ John Deere Card
When Ben Griffin (+1600 at Circa) opens as the betting favorite, you know this week’s John Deere Classic isn’t the strongest field on the PGA Tour.

No matter. Wes Reynolds is a pro’s pro, and he found seven outright bets he likes this week.

🏈 Inside the NFL Betting Guide
One of my favorite sections in the new NFL Betting Guide is Steve Makinen’s annual regression systems.

Steve has spent years identifying the types of teams most likely to improve—or come back to the pack—the following season.

One trend that jumped out at me: teams coming off six or more one-score wins have declined by an average of 3.1 wins the following season.

That’s just one of the historical betting systems Steve uses to identify season win total value before the market catches up.
