Bryce Harper has already won the Home Run Derby once before, doing so at what was then his home ballpark as a member of the Washington Nationals in 2018. This is his first time competing in the derby since then, but he once again has familiarity with the ballpark, as this year’s derby is at Citizens Bank Park. He also has Los Angeles Dodgers third base coach Dino Ebel pitching to him, the same pitcher who threw to Teoscar Hernández during his winning performance in the 2024 Home Run Derby.
