The 2026 French Open (also known as Roland Garros) is officially underway at the Stade Roland Garros in Paris. We’ve broken down the day’s best tennis betting picks, digging into matchup tactics, surface tendencies, and current form to find the sharpest edges on the board. Whether you’re betting the moneyline, game spread, set spread, or total, our 2026 French Open best bets are designed to help you profit. I’m dropping some of my favorite plays for Monday, May 25 below, but make sure you also monitor the picks page. I usually have a few more picks over there, plus I occasionally add plays based on how lines are moving. That’s also where Gill Alexander posts his bets.

Hubert Hurkacz vs. Jaume Munar

When Munar is rolling, he can be a tough player to beat on clay. He’s an elite clay-court mover, which helps him play great defense. He also hits a heavy ball, plus his improved serve in recent years has made him a little better when he’s looking to play aggressive tennis. The problem heading into this match is that Munar is nowhere near 100%. Munar missed the Sunshine Double with a right arm injury, and hasn’t looked the same since returning to action. The Spaniard came back in Barcelona, and he’s just 5-5 in his last 10 matches. Considering this is the clay-court portion of the season, that’s a pretty weak record for the Spaniard. Munar’s TennisViz Performance Rating on clay in 2026 also happens to be down at 7.18. He’s capable of being much better than that, but has he had enough time to find his game?

There just isn’t much to suggest that Munar can be trusted to beat a strong opponent right now. Well, Hurkacz might not be the best version of himself on the dirt, but he’s definitely a tough opponent. He’s also going to be even tougher with the current conditions in Paris. With these two set to lock horns during the day, it’ll likely be hot and sunny for the majority of this match. That will speed up play quite a bit, making Hurkacz’s booming serve a little tougher for Munar to return. Combining that with the fact that this surface makes Hurkacz a little better as a baseliner, the Pole really should advance.

Bet: Hurkacz ML (-123 – 1.5 units)

Camila Osorio vs. Ekaterina Alexandrova

Osorio doesn’t have much public support heading into her match against Alexandrova, who has a way better ranking than her. However, Osorio is still a sizable favorite, which means sharp bettors are flocking to the Colombian. And that genuinely feels like the only way to go with this match.

Osorio’s serve is a major problem, which makes backing her a bit of a roller coaster. She simply doesn’t rack up easy holds. However, Osorio is one of the better clay-court baseliners in women’s tennis. She’s very quick, she constructs points brilliantly, and she packs more punch than you’d expect with a player her size.

Clay-court results also tell quite the story heading into this one. Osorio is 57-26 on the dirt at the WTA level. That’s a 68.7% winning percentage. Alexandrova, who is really a one-note power player, has a losing record on clay. The Russian also entered this tournament with a 1-4 record on the dirt in 2026, and she’s a miserable 6-12 across all surfaces on the season.

Bet: Osorio ML (-143 – 1.5 units)

Gael Monfils vs. Hugo Gaston

There really isn’t much to look at with 2026 numbers when searching for reasons to back Monfils. The Magician’s final full season on tour has been disappointing, as he’s 3-6 in his nine ATP matches and hasn’t looked healthy. However, Monfils was gifted a very winnable match against Gaston. Even in poor form, Monfils is the more talented player, plus he’s the more proven big-match performer. That’s enough for me to put a play on Monfils in his final run at Roland Garros.

Look for Monfils to have a major power advantage over Gaston, and don’t be surprised if he’s ready to utilize the wheels here. Monfils can still play matches in which his defense can be an asset, even in the late stages of his career. And playing in front of the Parisian crowd will only make things easier.

Gaston will probably try and hit Monfils with dropshot after dropshot, looking to wear down his older opponent. But Gaston’s weak serve could be a major issue as he tries to knock off his fellow countryman, and just playing against Monfils on this stage could make things hard on him mentally.

Bet: Monfils ML (-106)
