Karen Khachanov vs. Casper Ruud
Elina Svitolina vs. Elena Rybakina

It’s going to be a slow day for me when looking at sides/totals in Rome for Wednesday. I have futures riding on Iga Swiatek and Rafael Jodar, so perhaps I’ll look into hedging before their matches begin. However, outside of that, I’m just parlaying two of the heavy favorites.

With the first, let’s go against Khachanov for the third time in a row, but let’s hope for some better results. I have been down on Khachanov’s form for a while now, yet he has turned in some good wins this week. Still, the numbers say that Khachanov is having a down year. In 2025, Khachanov’s TennisViz Performance Rating was 7.75 in non-Slams. In 2026, that number is down at 7.54. Khachanov hasn’t looked as sharp as a returner, plus he’s also looking a little shakier from the baseline. Well, that makes it an easy call to get involved with Ruud, who is one of the best clay-court players on the planet.

The other leg calls for Rybakina to defeat Svitolina. I don’t love going up against Svitolina, as she’s a tremendous fighter and she’s excellent when it comes to court coverage. However, Rybakina’s on another level when looking at the serve and ball-striking, and these conditions only make it easier on her to move around. Rybakina also happened to beat Svitolina 7-5, 6-4 in Indian Wells a couple of weeks ago. She has won three of their last four matches, with one of the victories coming on clay.

PARLAY: Ruud ML & Rybakina ML (-125 – 1.5 units)
