🏈 Patriots-Seahawks: The Rematch

Without further ado — and we’ve had plenty of ado since the Super Bowl — here is what we have on the Patriots-Seahawks rematch tonight (8:20 ET, NBC).

New England QB Drake Maye arguably was the difference the last time they met — in a bad way.

Can he be the difference this time — in a good way — with the Patriots as 3-point underdogs?

Zach Cohen thinks so.

“The Patriots, who didn’t have enough weapons at wide receiver last year, went out and added A.J. Brown and Romeo Doubs after the season. . . . Another thing that points to the Patriots having a better shot of scoring points here: Nick Emmanwori, the Seahawks’ jack of all trades in the back of the defense, is likely to miss this game.”

🐶 Dog or Pass?

Dave “Dog or Pass” Tuley is looking at the same 3-point spread and comes down on the Patriots, too.

“I believe this line should be closer to pick-’em with the Pats seeking revenge.”

📊 Steve’s Stability System Went 4-1 ATS

One of Steve Makinen’s college football stability systems got off to quite a start.

Backing teams with 17 or more returning starters went 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS in Week 1.

So who qualifies in Week 2?

Virginia Tech -18.5

USC -30.5

Texas A&M -14.5

UCLA -11.5

Notre Dame -44.5

Those aren’t necessarily Steve’s five best bets. They’re the five qualifying plays from this particular system.
