ED’S KENTUCKY DERBY TOP 10: With the Triple Crown prep season well underway and the Run for the Roses merely a dozen Saturdays away, it’s time for Mr. Ed to reveal his much anticipated Kentucky Derby Top 10. As the preseason progresses, he will update the list on a regular basis. Here are his initial standings (as of 02/03/25).

Mr. Ed has a sure-fire combination of winners in the first two races. In the first, he likes #2 EASTERN EXtENSION (9-2 morning line) for better-than-most trainer Kathleen O’Connell, who brings Irad Ortiz Jr. back after finishing a promising second on synthetic. Return to grass OK. He also likes #6 STICKY McSHNICKENS (6-1), trained by Joe Orseno and ridden by New York-based Dylan Davis. Time for the gelding to break maiden.
