Player props have become one of baseball’s most entertaining ways to bet, offering value well beyond the moneyline, run line, or game total. Each day, this column highlights the best opportunities on the board — from strikeouts and hits to total bases and pitcher outs recorded — using matchup data, recent form, and betting trends to identify edges. Keep reading for the top MLB player prop picks for May 24. Also, make sure you check out our live VSiN programming for more. Sunday Player Prop Best Bets

Below you’ll find my official plays on the player prop market for Sunday. These are the ones that make the VSiN Pro Picks page and count towards my season-long record. On Saturdays and Sundays, I’m going to keep these much shorter to cut down on my workload a little.

Peter Lambert Over 4.5 Strikeouts (-113) vs. Cubs

Astros at Cubs – 2:20 pm ET

Lambert has had at least six strikeouts in four of his six starts. He’s doing a good job of missing bats, which should carry over into a meeting with this Cubs team. Chicago’s 21.3% strikeout rate isn’t anything to write home about, so this isn’t the type of matchup that should get to the righty.

Matt Chapman Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (+114) vs. White Sox

White Sox at Giants – 4:05 pm ET

Chapman has had at least two hits, runs, and RBIs (HRR) in four consecutive games, and he has also hit that mark in six of the last seven. Chapman also happens to be averaging 1.8 HRR per game against lefty starters this year, and he has had four HRR in each of his last two outings against southpaws. Sign me up for that production against lefty Noah Schultz.

Jose Quintana Over 2.5 Strikeouts (-103 – 1.5 units) vs. Diamondbacks

Rockies at Diamondbacks – 4:10 pm ET

Quintana is the furthest thing from a high-strikeout pitcher, but he did strikeout four batters in his last trip to the mound. He has now had at least three strikeouts in three of his last five starts, and this Diamondbacks team can be guilty of chasing pitches out of the zone. That said, I’ll take my chances with the crafty lefty finding a way to a very modest number.

Additional Picks

Andrew Painter Over 3.5 Strikeouts (-134) vs. Guardians

Ryan Weathers Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-108 – 1.5 units) & Alt Strikeouts 7+ (+174 – 0.5 units) & Alt Strikeouts 8+ (+350 – 0.25 units) vs. Rays

Elly De La Cruz Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-106) vs. Cardinals

Bryan Woo Over 4.5 Strikeouts (-165 – 1.5 units) vs. Royals

Michael King Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-145) vs. Athletics

Ha-Seong Kim Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (+120) vs. Nationals

Mike Trout Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (+100) vs. Rangers
