The 2026 French Open (also known as Roland Garros) is officially underway at the Stade Roland Garros in Paris. We’ve broken down the day’s best tennis betting picks, digging into matchup tactics, surface tendencies, and current form to find the sharpest edges on the board. Whether you’re betting the moneyline, game spread, set spread, or total, our 2026 French Open best bets are designed to help you profit. I’m dropping some of my favorite plays for Sunday, May 24 below, but make sure you also monitor the picks page. I generally have a few more picks over there, plus I occasionally add plays based on how lines are moving. That’s also where Gill Alexander posts his bets.

Hugo Dellien vs. Valentin Royer

Since losing in qualifying in Santiago, Dellien has been racking up clay-court victories. Dellien was 18-5 on the dirt in his last 23 matches before arriving in Paris, with a lot of those wins coming at the Challenger level. However, Dellien also has 34 ATP-level clay-court victories to his name, plus he won three matches in qualifying here. This is just a proven clay-court performer that is already used to the conditions in this venue, and that makes him a dangerous opponent for Royer.

Royer is a solid player himself, but it’s hard to be impressed with what he has done lately. Royer has lost five of his last six matches, with those defeats coming at the hands of some unimpressive players. Royer lost to an out-of-form Roman Safiullin, he wasn’t even competitive in losses to Alejandro Tabilo and Hamad Medjedovic, and he also suffered a loss at the hands of Kimmer Coppejans. Of course, it should be noted that Royer is a Frenchman. That means he should have the crowd in his corner in this match. However, weaker players tend to struggle with the pressure that comes with being expected to win at home.

I’ll also throw out that Dellien’s heavy baseline strokes and solid clay-court movement could get to Royer. When you’re not striking the ball well, these are the types of opponents that drive you nuts. They push you around, making you hit from tough positions on the court, and that leads to errors.

Bet: Dellien ML (-115)

Barbora Krejcikova vs. Hailey Baptiste

Baptiste made a killer run in Madrid, where she eliminated Jasmine Paolini, Belinda Bencic, and Aryna Sabalenka. She’s an insanely talented player, with a good mix of ball-striking and overall feel. However, in slower conditions, I do like Krejcikova’s style of play to wear her down. Krejcikova is a former French Open champion, so we know for a fact that her game fits these conditions.

The Czech is an accurate server, she really knows how to throw opponents off with her mix of spins, and she’s highly efficient putting points away at the net. In many ways, she resembles a junk-baller in baseball. But that’s what makes her so tough to beat.

In this match, I just see Krejcikova keeping Baptiste moving, getting her off balance, and finding ways to frustrate her. So, at plus-money odds, I can’t turn away from her.

Bet: Krejcikova ML (+114)

Sara Sorribes Tormo vs. Tamara Korpatsch

Sorribes Tormo is a brutal player to draw in an opening-round match on clay. She hits with heavy topspin, she throws in a ton of moon-balls, and she really covers the court at a high level. Sorribes Tormo is also a high-level returner, so she’s really never out of matches — even with a weak serve.

Sorribes Tormo is also in really strong form entering this match. The 29-year-old did get rocked by Daria Kasatkina in her most recent match, but she was winning at a very high clip before that. And while Korpatsch isn’t a bad player, she more resembles the kinds of players Sorribes Tormo was just beating with ease.

I just don’t think there’s much that separates these two competitors, so give me the +121 odds with the Spaniard.

Bet: Sorribes Tormo ML (+121)
