The 2026 Mutua Madrid Open is underway at the Caja Magica in Madrid, Spain, and the clay-court season only heats up from here. We’ve broken down the day’s best tennis betting picks for Madrid, digging into matchup tactics, surface tendencies, and current form to find the sharpest edges on the board. Whether you’re betting the moneyline, game spread, set spread, or total, our 2026 Mutua Madrd Open best bets are built to help you profit. I’m dropping some of my favorite plays for Saturday, April 25 below, but make sure you also monitor the picks page throughout the day. I generally have a few more picks over there, plus I occasionally add plays based on how lines are moving. That’s also where Gill Alexander posts his best bets.
Dino Prizmic vs. Tomas Martin Etcheverry
Etcheverry is a strong clay-court performer, and players that hit with heavy topspin do tend to like playing in Madrid. However, Etcheverry plays more of a grinding style, so he is a tougher opponent on a slower clay court. On the livelier courts in Spain, this is a match Prizmic can win.
Prizmic is aggressive from the back of the court, can generate power off both wings, and he moves extremely well on the dirt. If he just turns in a solid performance as a server here, he should have a great shot at advancing.
We just saw how good Prizmic can be in these conditions, as he earned an impressive three-set win over Ben Shelton. The American had just won a tournament at altitude, so Prizmic really made a statement with that win. Well, I don’t think the run is over.
Bet: Prizmic ML (-109)
Qinwen Zheng vs. Elena Rybakina
Rafael Jodar vs. Joao Fonseca
I tried to use Zheng +6.5 games in a parlay with a match I liked yesterday, but Anhelina Kalinina wasn’t able to take a set off Naomi Osaka. However, I do really like that play as a parlay leg, so I’m going back to it in order to have some action on the match of the day: Jodar vs. Fonseca.
I already got into the Zheng stuff in my Saturday picks column, so I don’t want to spend too much time analyzing it again. I just like Zheng to keep the match relatively close, as she’s a good server and has the type of power game that generally translates nicely to the courts in Madrid. However, I don’t feel too good about the number at +4.5, so I’m taking an alternate spread.
The battle between Jodar and Fonseca will be fascinating. I can see it being a three-set match, and I understand why Jodar is the betting favorite. The Spaniard is playing in front of a home crowd, plus his game is a perfect fit for the conditions in Madrid. However, I do think the least likely outcome in this match is a straight-set win for Jodar. Even if Fonseca goes down, I see him getting on the board before having to head over to Rome.
Fonseca’s forehand will be the biggest weapon on the court in this match, and he’s plenty capable of racking up holds in these server-friendly conditions. Also, if you look at some of Fonseca’s recent results, you’ll notice he’s only losing to the very best players in the sport. His last four losses have come against Ben Shelton, Alexander Zverev, Carlos Alcaraz, and Jannik Sinner. His confidence is through the roof at the moment, and I believe he’s the more talented player here. Well, Fonseca is also the more experienced player, so it’s not like his age will hurt him in this matchup.
PARLAY: Zheng Alt +6.5 Games & Fonseca +1.5 ßets (-109 – 1.5 units)
NOTE: While only three picks are written up here, I usually have more on the Pro Picks page. I try to select the plays I write up based on player popularity. Some of the picks on the Pro Picks page are higher-confidence selections.
