2025 NASCAR Cup Series Standings
William Byron took down the win in the Daytona 500, but Ryan Blaney holds the points lead after one race. Austin Cindric, Tyler Reddick, and Alex Bowman round out the top five. Blaney’s lead is by the slimmest of margins, as he picked up 21 stage points prior to finishing seventh overall.
Cindric is three points behind Blaney and two behind Byron after accumulating 19 stage points prior to finishing eighth, as he led the most laps in the race. There were two big surprises at Daytona to note. The first is that Jimmie Johnson was third in his return to the track and the second is that Chase Briscoe, who finished fourth, failed a post-race inspection and is in last place with -67 points.
Ambetter Health 400 Winners
Blaney has the pole for the first of two races at Atlanta Motor Speedway this season. The second will be the Quaker State 400, which is the first race of NASCAR’s in-season tournament, which runs from June 28 to July 27 and spans five races. It is a good way to start for Blaney, who is looking for his second career win at Atlanta. He won this race back in 2021.
Over the last 10 races at Atlanta, Brad Keselowski, Joey Logano, Kyle Busch, and Byron are the multiple winners with two each. Denny Hamlin, Blaney, Daniel Suarez, and Chase Elliott are the other winners, with Suarez the reigning champ in this race and Logano the reigning champ in the race later in the year. He also won this race back in 2023.
