6:35 PM Eastern

Seattle Mariners vs. Baltimore Orioles

Orioles starting pitcher Trevor Rogers has struggled this season with a 6.29 ERA, but a 4.63 fielding independent with 1.3 home runs and 3.1 walks per nine innings suggests he has pitched better than his ERA would indicate. Mariners starting pitcher Logan Gilbert owns a 3.79 ERA overall with 1.6 home runs allowed per nine innings, but he has been at his best on the road, posting a 0.94 ERA with 0.3 home runs allowed per nine innings away from home compared to a 5.60 ERA with 2.4 home runs allowed per nine innings at home.

Pick: Mariners Moneyline -115 and Under 9 Runs

Greg’s Handicap: Mariners -134 and Total 8.3

6:40 PM Eastern

New York Yankees vs. Cleveland Guardians

Guardians starting pitcher Slade Cecconi has pitched better than his 4.92 ERA would indicate, posting a 4.30 fielding independent with 1.2 home runs and 2.8 walks per nine innings. Yankees starting pitcher Gerrit Cole owns a 2.00 ERA in his three starts since returning from the injured list. While his 1.5 home runs allowed per nine innings are a concern, he faces a Guardians lineup that ranks 23rd in home runs per at-bat and 24th in scoring with just over 4.1 runs per game. The Yankees also have the better bullpen, ranking eighth in ERA at 3.51, while the Guardians rank 13th at 3.74.

Pick: Yankees Moneyline -125 and Under 8.5 Runs

Greg’s Handicap: Yankees -149 and Total 7.6

Minnesota Twins vs. Detroit Tigers

Twins starting pitcher Taj Bradley owns a 3.56 ERA this season with 10.4 strikeouts and 0.9 home runs allowed per nine innings. He faces a Tigers lineup that ranks last in the American League in scoring since May 1, averaging fewer than 3.5 runs per game. Tigers starting pitcher Troy Melton has pitched to a lot of contact in his 19 MLB appearances over the past two seasons, recording only 6.1 strikeouts per nine innings, but he owns a 2.44 ERA with 1.1 home runs and 2.8 walks allowed per nine innings.

Pick: Twins vs. Tigers Under 8 Runs

Greg’s Handicap: 7.7

Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Miami Marlins

Marlins starting pitcher Max Meyer is off to a great start in 2026, posting a 2.81 ERA and a 3.05 fielding independent while allowing just 0.6 home runs per nine innings and recording 9.9 strikeouts per nine innings. His ERA drops to 1.79 with only 0.2 home runs allowed per nine innings on the road. Diamondbacks starting pitcher Zac Gallen owns a 5.32 ERA overall with 1.5 home runs allowed and only six strikeouts per nine innings, and his ERA balloons to 7.57 on the road with 2.3 home runs allowed per nine innings.

Pick: Marlins Moneyline -120 and Over 7.5 Runs

Greg’s Handicap: Marlins -148 and Total 8.1

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Pittsburgh Pirates

While the Dodgers rank second in the league in scoring with over 5.2 runs per game, the Pirates lead the league in run creation at home with 5.6 runs per game and have the clear starting pitching advantage. Paul Skenes owns a 3.09 ERA and a 2.61 fielding independent with 10.5 strikeouts and 1.7 walks per nine innings. Dodgers starting pitcher Eric Lauer has a 5.74 ERA and a 6.54 fielding independent with 2.5 home runs and 3.4 walks allowed per nine innings.

Pick: Pirates Moneyline -104

Greg’s Handicap: Pirates -148

7:10 PM Eastern

St. Louis Cardinals vs. New York Mets

The Cardinals offense has struggled recently, ranking 26th in scoring since May 1 with just over 3.8 runs per game. They face Mets starting pitcher Freddy Peralta, who owns a 3.63 ERA with 1.1 home runs allowed per nine innings and 9.3 strikeouts per nine innings. Cardinals starting pitcher Dustin May owns a 4.59 ERA, though his 3.36 fielding independent with 0.7 home runs and 2.6 walks per nine innings suggests he has pitched better than his ERA would indicate. The Cardinals are at a bullpen disadvantage, ranking 16th in ERA at 4.09, while the Mets rank sixth at 3.24.

Pick: Mets Moneyline -122 and Under 8 Runs

Greg’s Handicap: Mets -167 and Total 7.4

7:40 PM Eastern

Texas Rangers vs. Kansas City Royals

Rangers starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi owns a 4.10 ERA overall this season with 1.7 home runs allowed per nine innings, but his numbers are skewed by two poor starts to begin the season. Over his last 10 starts, he has posted a 3.14 ERA and now faces a Royals lineup that ranks 29th in scoring with 3.9 runs per game. The Rangers bullpen ranks fourth in ERA at 3.14, while the offense ranks 25th with just over four runs per game. Royals starting pitcher Stephen Kolek owns a 3.32 ERA with 1.2 home runs and 1.9 walks allowed per nine innings.

Pick: Rangers Moneyline -115 and Under 9.5 Runs

Greg’s Handicap: Rangers -124 and Total 8.3

8:40 PM Eastern

Chicago Cubs vs. Colorado Rockies

Cubs starting pitcher Colin Rea owns a 4.59 ERA this season with 1.3 home runs and 3.1 walks allowed per nine innings. He faces a Rockies offense that ranks 10th in scoring at home with fewer than 4.7 runs per game despite Coors Field having the highest offensive park factor in the league. Rockies starting pitcher Tomoyuki Sugano owns a 3.98 ERA despite pitching to a lot of contact, recording only 5.1 strikeouts per nine innings. He faces a Cubs lineup that ranks 27th in scoring since May 1, averaging 3.8 runs per game over that 35-game stretch.

Pick: Cubs vs. Rockies Under 12.5 Runs

Greg’s Handicap: 11.1

9:38 PM Eastern

Houston Astros vs. Los Angeles Angels

Angels starting pitcher Walbert Urena has been a bright spot for an otherwise disappointing team, posting a 2.68 ERA with 8.6 strikeouts and 0.7 home runs allowed per nine innings. While his five walks per nine innings are a concern, the Angels bullpen ranks 26th in ERA at 4.96. However, they are aided by the Astros having an even worse bullpen, ranking 27th at 4.98. Astros starting pitcher Kai-Wei Teng owns a 3.06 ERA, but his 4.36 fielding independent with 8.4 strikeouts and four walks per nine innings points toward regression.

Pick: Angels Moneyline +105

Greg’s Handicap: Angels -111

9:40 PM Eastern

Cincinnati Reds vs. San Diego Padres

Padres starting pitcher Lucas Giolito should feel fortunate that his ERA is only 4.86, as his fielding independent sits at 6.65 with just 5.9 strikeouts and seven walks per nine innings. Reds starting pitcher Chase Burns has been reliable, posting a 2.05 ERA with 10.4 strikeouts per nine innings. He faces a Padres lineup that ranks last in scoring with fewer than 3.8 runs per game, a number that falls to 3.4 runs per game at home.

Pick: Reds Moneyline -114

Greg’s Handicap: Reds -130
