The 2026 French Open (also known as Roland Garros) is officially underway at the Stade Roland Garros in Paris. We’ve broken down the day’s best tennis betting picks, digging into matchup tactics, surface tendencies, and current form to find the sharpest edges on the board. Whether you’re betting the moneyline, game spread, set spread, or total, our 2026 French Open best bets are designed to help you profit. I’m dropping some of my favorite plays for Monday, June 1 below, but make sure you also monitor the picks page. I usually have a few more picks over there, plus I occasionally add plays based on how lines are moving. That’s also where Gill Alexander posts his bets.
Matteo Berrettini vs. Juan Manuel Cerundolo
The Monday card at the French Open is filled with tough reads, so the only traditional side I have is Berrettini over Cerundolo. I tried to fade Cerundolo after his shocking win over Jannik Sinner last round, but Martin Landaluce just wasn’t up for the task of sending him home. The Spaniard was a better player for a majority of that match, and he even had a late lead in the fifth set superbreaker. However, his youth showed in key moments, with him looking shakier and Cerundolo’s mental toughness shining through. Still, Cerundolo isn’t nearly as good as his current ranking suggests, and it’s hard to imagine him sticking around for much longer.
The only concern I really have with Berrettini is the fact that he’s coming off a win over Francisco Comesana in which he was on the court for five hours and 13 minutes. Berrettini has been an injury-prone player for years, and there’s always a chance his body will fail him. However, Cerundolo played five hours and 58 minutes in that match against Landaluce. That said, he won’t be all that fresh out there.
As long as there’s not a huge difference in energy and physicality, it’s just hard not to love Berrettini in this spot. Berrettini is one of the best servers on tour, while Cerundolo is one of the worst servers in the Top 100. That means the Italian should have a much easier time getting through his service games. Also, while Cerundolo is a player that doesn’t miss very often from the back of the court, he also lacks the ability to punish the ball and put points away. Berrettini doesn’t have that issue. The Italian has one of the best forehands on the ATP Tour.
There just isn’t much that Cerundolo can do to really bother Berrettini. His only chance of beating him is by outlasting him in another marathon match, but I’m not sure Cerundolo has the legs for another one of those.
Bet: Berrettini ML (-133 – 1.5 units)
