2023 Record: 191-172-2 (+14.22 units)

NBA Best Bets Today – February 4

Orlando Magic at Detroit Pistons – 3:00 pm ET

The Magic have won three of their last four, and they’ve covered in four in a row. However, it can be easy to overlook an opponent like the Pistons. And this is also the fourth game of a five-game road trip for Orlando. So, it isn’t hard to envision a scenario in which the Magic are fatigued and try to sleepwalk through this game. But the Pistons are 9-1 against the spread in their last 10 games. They are playing some much better basketball lately, even if they’re not winning. They’ll also have Cade Cunningham for this one, so there aren’t many injuries getting in the way. That said, I like the home team getting this many points. Detroit has the size to bother Orlando’s lengthy wings.

Bet: Pistons +7.5 (-115 – 1.5 units)

Milwaukee Bucks at Utah Jazz – 8:00 pm ET

The Bucks needed to use a ton of energy to come back and earn a 129-117 win over the Dallas Mavericks last night. Now, Milwaukee is on the second night of a road back-to-back. This should be a tired Bucks group. Meanwhile, the Jazz haven’t played since Thursday, so they’ll be extremely fresh here. They’re also coming into this one after having lost three in a row, so they’ll be amped up and ready to get in the win column. On top of that, the Jazz have plenty of shooters that can get hot in a hurry. Considering the looks they’ll get against this miserable Bucks defense, I trust Utah to bury those shots. The Jazz are also 22-6 ATS as home underdogs under Will Hardy. So, they’re a big play for tonight’s NBA best bets.

Bet: Jazz ML (-130 – 2 units)

NBA Player Props Today – February 4

Phoenix Suns at Washington Wizards – 3:30 pm ET

Jusuf Nurkic has gone Over his rebound total in 25 of the 46 games he has played this year. Oddly enough, Nurkic has only hit the 11-rebound mark in five of his last six games. But I expect him to get right back to dominating the boards today. The Wizards have the lowest rebound rate in the entire NBA. That means that this team does not grab a high percentage of available rebounds. Well, Nurkic is in the 98th percentile of defensive rebound rate and 90th percentile in offensive rebound rate. He’s genuinely a monster on the glass, so I’m turning to him with today’s NBA player props. I also like him to flirt with 15 rebounds, so I’m sprinkling that alternate line.

Bet: Nurkic Over 10.5 Rebounds (-130) & Nurkic Alt Rebounds 15+ (+330 – 0.25 units)

Added Plays

Heat +5.5 (-108 – 1.5 units) vs. Clippers

Heat ML (+168 – 0.5 units) vs. Clippers

Blazers +15 (-110) vs. Nuggets

Scoot Henderson Over 14.5 Points (-124 – 1.5 units) vs. Nuggets

Scoot Henderson Alt Points 20+ (+230 – 0.5 units) vs. Nuggets
