Friday Betting Recaps

Friday was mostly centered around MLB’s full 15-game schedule with favorites mostly dominating, though the WNBA did have a big upset (and I’ll leave the NBA Summer League to others).

Top MLB Resources:

The Dallas Wings beat the defending WNBA champion Las Vegas Aces 80-78 as 10-point home underdogs and +425 on the money line to deal the Aces just their second loss of the season in 18 games.
It seemed appropriate that I was at the biggest MLB upset of the night in the Rockies’ 5-2 win at the Giants as +170 underdogs at San Francisco’s Oracle Park.
Let’s get to the rest of the MLB recaps for Friday night, and then update the season-long betting stats.

MLB: Faves went 10-4 Friday with the Mariners-Astros game closing pick-’em. The upsets were by the Rockies (+170 in their 5-2 win at the Giants), Orioles (+144 in 3-1, 10-inning win at Twins), Cubs (+144 in 3-0 win at Yankees) and Mets (+102 in 7-5, 10-inning win at Padres). Road teams went 9-6. Over/Unders split 7-7-1 with the push in the Red Sox’s 7-3 win vs. the A’s with a betting total of 10 runs.

More MLB: Favorites improved to 752-543 on the season with 22 PKs. Home teams’ lead has been slipping recently but they still lead 678-635 with 4 neutral-site games. Unders still hold a slim lead at 633-627-56 with 1 no-action (thanks to going 9-3-1 on Thursday).
