🏈 Notre Dame’s Win-Or-Else Situation

Today’s college football menu is chock-full of playoff implications, but Notre Dame is clearly at the top of the list. The Irish are 7- to 7.5-point home favorites against No. 1 Miami (7:30 p.m. ET, NBC), which will be without star receiver Malachi Toney.

As Matt Youmans writes, “The Irish either win or never hear the end of it from the critics.” Matt offers a different approach to betting the game — plus 5½ additional plays. He is 33-14-5 for the season.

Wes Reynolds also takes a position: “Oftentimes, we can overvalue injuries, but not in this case.” Wes explains why Toney’s absence could allow Notre Dame to play more man coverage — and why leaning on the run would play to an Irish strength.
