Here are our favorite MLB prop bets for Friday, April 14:

Philadelphia Phillies (-150, 10) at Cincinnati Reds

Trea Turner is batting .316 with no homers and three RBIs this season, and those numbers feel somewhat disappointing after how well the 29-year-old played at the World Baseball Classic and Spring Training. It feels like he’s genuinely due for some extra base hits and homers very soon, and it shouldn’t come as a surprise to anybody if he ends up cashing in against Connor Overton.

This season, Overton has allowed 14 hits and nine earned runs over only 8.0 innings of work. Cincinnati has been fortunate to win in each of his two starts this year, but that luck will run out at some point. And tonight’s meeting between these two teams has a total of 10, so this could be another game in which the 29-year-old struggles. And if he does, you’ll want to be holding some props tickets for Philadelphia.

Look for Turner to have at least one hit that goes over this total on its own. This should be a big game for the superstar.

Bet: Turner Over 1.5 Total Bases (-120)

Baltimore Orioles at Chicago White Sox (-110, 9)

This has been a rough start to the season for Gunnar Henderson, but it’s still wild to see a player with his talent getting these odds just to get a single base hit. Sure, this might seem like a juicy play, but it’s rare to find a good hitter with a total this low.

Chicago starter Mike Clevinger also happens to be coming off a pretty rough outing against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Clevinger gave up four earned runs on eight hits in only 5.1 innings in that start, and that was against one of the least impressive offenses in baseball. Now, Clevinger will go to work against an Orioles team that should constantly have him under pressure.

Henderson does his best work against right-handed pitching, too. Last season, he hit .290 with an OBP of .377 and OPS of .872 against righties.

Bet: Henderson Over 0.5 Hits (-160)

New York Mets (-225, 8) at Oakland Athletics

The Mets don’t go down swinging very often, as they have the fifth-lowest strikeout rate in baseball this season. On the flip side of that, the Mets walk more often than anybody outside of the Dodgers. With that in mind, it’s hard not to like them to draw at least two walks against James Kaprielian here.

Kaprielian has already walked at least two batters in each of his two starts this season, and he just seems like he’s in a bad way right now. Kaprielian’s spin rates are mostly down to start 2023, and his velocity hasn’t been there on any of his pitches. On top of that, Kaprielian was a better pitcher on the road than he was at home last season, so it’s not like he’ll suddenly find his stuff here.

Bet: Kaprielian Over 1.5 Walks (-160)
