Tennis best bets for Rolex Paris Masters & WTA Finals – Sunday, November 5

There isn’t much time left in the 2023 tennis season, but this past week was full of high-level action. The men are in Paris for the Rolex Paris Masters, which is the final 1000-level event of the season. This is as big of a tournament as there is outside of the four Grand Slams, and we’re now into the final of that event. Meanwhile, the women are already into the finals of the WTA Finals. The top eight players on the women’s side were in Cancun to compete for the final big trophy of the year, but we’re nearing an end there. With that in mind, I’m here to give you some tennis best bets for a big Sunday in the sport. Keep reading for my picks for Sunday, November 5.

Grigor Dimitrov vs. Novak Djokovic

I was on the wrong side of the match between Dimitrov and Stefanos Tsitsipas in the semifinals, but I did acknowledge that the Bulgarian was scorching hot entering that match. Dimitrov played some fantastic tennis in that win over Tsitsipas, so he clearly hasn’t cooled down a bit. Realistically, Dimitrov just might be playing the best tennis of his career right now. There were times this season in which Dimitrov was struggling to really hit for power from his backhand side, but he’s mixing the speeds up nicely from that side of the court. Dimitrov is also serving at a very high level, and he’s hitting his forehand with supreme confidence. With that in mind, I like Dimitrov’s chances of taking it to Djokovic here.

I played Andrey Rublev to win a set against Djokovic in the semifinals, and the reason is that Djokovic hasn’t quite looked like a 24-time Grand Slam champion this week. It feels like he’s still trying to knock off the rust from a break that lasted nearly two months. And that makes it hard for me to believe he’ll beat Dimitrov in straight sets, even though he has dominated him in the past. Also, with the way Dimitrov is serving right now, it’s just hard to see him being blown off the court by anyone. So, I’m taking Dimitrov to win a set in this match. And while I do think Djokovic will ultimately find a way to prevail in a three-set battle, I’m also sprinkling the moneyline with Dimitrov. This win would mean a lot more to Dimitrov than it would Djokovic.

Bet: Dimitrov +1.5 Sets (-135) & Dimitrov ML (+215)

2023 Overall Record: 309-279 (+56.86 units)
