The 2023 MLB season is fully in swing and VSiN has you covered with every way you can possibly bet on a baseball game. Normally, Adam Burke will have daily best bets to give you some ideas of what to back when it comes to moneylines, run lines and totals, while I focus on feeding you all player props. However, Adam is off on Sundays, so I’m tackling everything before we get back to our regularly scheduled programming tomorrow. Keep reading to find out how I’m betting three of the games on the MLB schedule for Sunday, July 2nd.

Here are our favorite MLB prop bets for Sunday, July 2nd:

Milwaukee Brewers at Pittsburgh Pirates (-110, 9)

My favorite play on the board today is for the Pirates to take down the Brewers. Pittsburgh is sending Rich Hill to the mound in this one, and the lefty has been quietly solid this year. He’s 7-7 with a 4.45 ERA and should be able to take care of business against Milwaukee. Only one team in baseball has lower wRC+ than the Brewers against lefties this season, so this is a team that has struggled against southpaws. And Hill can be a tricky one to figure out, as he doesn’t let you get comfortable at the plate with all the off-speed stuff he throws. Meanwhile, it’s not like Milwaukee has one of its best starters on the mound tonight. Colin Rea is very hittable and the Pirates should be able to get to him enough here.

Bet: Pirates ML (-110)

Detroit Tigers at Colorado Rockies (-115, 11.5)

Today’s meeting between the Tigers and Rockies should be pretty high scoring, and one player I like to contribute to that is Detroit’s Matt Vierling. This season, Vierling is batting .297 with a triple, seven doubles, six homers and 19 RBIs against right-handed pitching. With that in mind, he should have no trouble doing some damage against righty Connor Seabold here. Seabold is just 1-4 with a 5.98 ERA on the season, and he’s also just 0-2 with a 9.50 ERA in day games. So, this seems like a good opportunity for Vierling to rack up two total bases for us. There’s a reason you have to lay some juice on him to do it, but it’s worth it.

Bet: Vierling Over 1.5 Total Bases (-130)

Arizona Diamondbacks at Los Angeles Angels (-115, 8.5)

For as good as the Diamondbacks have been this season, this team hasn’t really produced at the plate against left-handed pitching. Only two teams in the league have a lower wRC+ than Arizona against lefties this year, so Reid Detmers should be able to navigate his way through this talented Diamondbacks lineup. Detmers is on fire coming into this one, as the lefty has given up one or fewer earned runs in each of his last four starts. He also struck out eight or more hitters in all of those outings. Also, while Zac Gallen is one of the nastiest pitchers in baseball, he did look miserable in his last trip to the hill. So, there’s no guarantee he’ll go out and blank the Angels here. This Los Angeles team can be dangerous at times.

Bet: Angels ML (-115)
