Greg Peterson posts his daily handicapped MLB lines for every game every day. Based on his lines vs. the actual lines, here is where Peterson sees value on today’s menu. Peterson also does a daily podcast, The Baseball Betting Show, on which he breaks down every game every day.

Marlins vs. Cubs Total 9.5. Greg’s Total 10.2.

The Cubs are leading the National League in batting average and get to face the Marlins starter Edward Cabrera, who is leafing the league in walks with 25 in 27 innings. The wind at Wrigley often determines totals, and according to the early AM forecast, the wind is blowing out for Friday at 10+ MPH.

Yankees vs. Rays Total 8.5. Greg’s Total 7.5.

The Yankees have played the highest percentage of their games under the total among MLB teams this season with just 10 of their 32 games having gone over the total. Excluding starts against the Twins, Jhony Brito has allowed four runs in 20 innings this season, while the Rays have the league’s top bullpen in what sets up to be a game with heavy bullpen use as Yonny Chirinos gets the start.

Blue Jays (-140) vs. Pirates.  Greg’s Line: Blue Jays -157.

Since getting rocked for nine runs in 3 1/3 innings in his first start of the season, Chris Bassitt has an opponent’s batting average of .146 since with a 3.03 ERA. Pirates starter Rich Hill is due for regression with a 4.18 ERA despite a 5.34 FIP with 1.9 home runs per nine innings allowed and opponents hitting .279 off of him.
